Project Update (May 2026)
The Two Rivers Water Reclamation Authority (TRWRA), along with its project partners, is continuing work to replace the aging Pleasure Bay Interceptor and Main Pump Station in Monmouth Beach. Construction is currently underway in both Monmouth Beach and Oceanport.
The project is expected to be substantially complete in early 2028, with final restoration finished by summer 2028.
Once construction is complete:
- Monmouth Beach: The baseball field will be rebuilt in its current location, and the berm, fencing, and landscaping between the field and treatment plant will be restored.
- Oceanport (Sommers Scout Park): Walking paths and grassy areas will be fully restored.
We will continue to share updates on this page and hold community meetings as needed.
